The range of housing Spence designed throughout his career presented a number of opportunities for outreach activity.
Working with soldiers at Hyde Park Cavalry Barracks in London and students, young people and community members in the Gorbals area of Glasgow and in the Canongate in Edinburgh, the project helped groups to explore Spence's contribution to their local area.
